Beef. It's what's for dinner.

As a vegetarian, I find beef advertising especially disgusting. I can't help but look at the photos of what they are touting as food and think of flesh. I literally think of biting right into someone's thigh and expecting it to taste good. Ugh.

The photo in this ad, "borrowed" from current beef advertising, really brings this to mind for me, mainly the pieces that are made to look especially "tender" and are softly lying on one another.

The intended audience of this spoof ad is a beef eater who hasn't thought lately about what he is actually eating. The ad is meant to provoke some thought, and a chuckle, about what is actually going into a person's body when they consume beef. The provocative headline is meant to get the audience to read the smaller copy, which mentions a couple of the controversial issues in the beef industry; in particular, hormone injections and the treatment of the animals.
